Wishing you all the very healthiest and safest of New Years. I sincerely hope 2021 is a significant improvement on last year. I won’t dwell on what has been and what may yet be to come, but personally I have many reasons why 2021 needs to be a whole heap better than the last 12 months, some of which I will share with you later in the year.
This post however is another information post about postage - seems to be my favourite topic of conversation. Royal Mail have yet again increased their postage rates and unfortunately I have no choice but to pass these increases on to you. I only charge postage at the rate the Royal Mail charge to me - no additional levy is added for materials or time etc. The most significant changes have been to overseas postage.
To counter this I have added a third option for overseas orders which is cheaper, but also slower and untracked. The new postage option is called ‘International Economy’ and will be offered to you at checkout for certain products if your country allows this method of shipping. Please do bear in mind that this method of shipping is significantly slower than regular delivery services; it could take up to three months to receive your order and there is no tracking available.
The UK has also left the EU with the end of 2020 seeing the end of the transition period. If you are ordering from Europe you may find that your country imposes additional charges on goods received from the UK so please also bear this in mind when ordering. You will be liable for these charges I am afraid - this is totally out of my control!
Whilst talking about deliveries I thought I would let you know that I am reaching the end of my last supply of poly mailers and so very soon will be just using brown paper bags or biodegradable bags to send your lovely orders on their way. I use tissue paper or brown paper to wrap your bags. So I am really trying hard to be as considerate to our dear planet as possible.
That is all for now. Of course if you have any questions about this then please do contact me, I’m happy to help.
Take good care.
Emma
