Coronavirus information



Standard shipping has been reintroduced to the shop (see news item from today’s date for more details). 


The shop remains fully open. I am however changing my overseas postal options and for the immediate future I will only be sending overseas packages using the Royal Mail’s tracked shipping option. This will provide some reassurance to customers while their packages are in transit and may be experiencing coronavirus related delays. This will be kept under review and I will bring back standard shipping as soon as it is sensible to do so. 


My shop remains open and I am posting overseas. Please check this link from the Royal Mail for any countries that have a suspended postal service or have specific advice about postal services within their borders. Shipping internationally is taking longer to arrive at the moment so please bear this in mind when ordering. If you are worried about your parcel getting held up then you may wish to wait until things are back to normal before placing your order. 

I am currently only shipping goods that will fit into a post box. 

UPDATE 30/03/2020

I hope you are keeping well.

The government is currently advising that online business can remain open and to ship as normal. I will therefore be keeping my shop open for sales but this will be reviewed on a daily basis and where it becomes appropriate to do so I will close temporarily.

Please also note the following.

  1. To minimise / eliminate contact with others I purchase and print all postage at home through the Royal Mail online service. Parcels are either posted in a letter box or where too large for this will be dropped at the delivery office where social distancing will be respected.
  2. I will make one trip to the delivery office per week, coinciding this with a trip that I will be making for essential food supplies or to my day job. This will usually be towards the end of the week. 
  3. Delays with delivery are almost inevitable, particularly for international orders. Please be patient. Please also note that if your order is lost in the post I cannot be held responsible for this and refunds are not available. All purchases are made at the buyer's risk. I can however currently offer an enhanced tracked option; please contact me by email (hello@eldenwoodcraft.com) within 24 hours of purchase for a quote. 
  4. Please be advised that it may become necessary to limit available shipping destinations.
